CELEBRATE: It's All About That Joy, 'Bout That Joy- 1/31

Ruth Ayers invites us to participate in a Celebrate Link-Up on Saturdays. Click here to see what others are celebrating and maybe join in yourself, too!

  My dog, Owen.

Loyal and Loving
Patient and Peaceful
Gentle and Goofy
But mostly
We are grateful.

Our dog brings us all so much joy around here. He's a 9 year old, 80 pound Labroodle. He is simply the best. He can turn any day into a better day just by hanging with him. My two boys adore him and I know Owen feels the same about them.

One day this week I came home from school and my Dad shared this picture with me. My parents watch my boys three days a week, but Owen goes to my parents 5 days a week regardless of whether the boys are there or not...lucky guy. For some reason this picture of Owen in "Pete the Cat" glasses just made me stop. I knew I had to include him in the celebrations this week.

And now I think he may have just inspired my next blog post...those glasses are just brimming with possibilities for a close reading post. :)
